Team News and Updates

Meet Beverly Moore, our new Managing Director.

I am a product of the Baptist church, where I held a traditional view on abortion, which I didn't question. It wasn't until I came across ProGrace's search for a managing director that I wrestled with the tension of the abortion issue. As I read the job posting and dug deeper into ProGrace, I thought, "wow, I hadn't looked at the rhetoric between the two sides missing God's love for the woman and child.” I am a representative of God's kingdom, and as His representative, I must reflect His heart to love and build others up. God has called ProGrace to demonstrate and lead the Church in a more excellent way to bring healing. God called me to use my gifts and years of experience as a marketer who has worked in the corporate and nonprofit sectors as an advocate. Our action is to unify, build community and create a groundswell of believers who have the heart to represent God's love on the earth so that together we can create safe spaces for people impacted by unplanned pregnancy or abortion. As Christians, we have received God's indescribable gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We are called to make disciples, and for such a time as this, the ProGrace approach is necessary to reclaim the Church's representation of God's grace.”

In February, Angie shared her passion for the transformative power of grace with a group of Surge Network leaders, including pastors and church, business, and community servant leaders. She also moderated a panel discussion with Tammy Abernathy from Hope Women’s Center and Joshua Dailey, Community and Missions Pastor from Redemption Alhambra.  They effectively exemplify ProGrace’s approach to reflecting God's grace in practice. As partners, they have personal experiences with the Transform course content and Equip resources and speak highly of those experiences.

“What ProGrace did for me was that it gave me a language and a framework to navigate something I had so much tension around. I know that we are called into broken, hard spaces. However, I needed a way to talk about this that doesn't shut people out.”

-Joshua Dailey,
Redemption Alhambra

“We loved ProGrace so much, we adopted it ministry-wide, for every situation that we are working in with a woman, because, as I always tell our team, “this is the Jesus way.” Because Jesus is close to someone who’s hurting, He sits with them, listens to them, and builds a relationship with them. Is truth there? Always. But He builds the relationship first with grace.”

-Tammy Abernathy, CEO of Hope Women’s Center
